Whistles
I started making whistles before I had a studio, wheel or workspace by making do in the basement on a corner of a workbench.
The grotesque designs spawned from an African music and culture unit I taught to my 7th graders. To give the kids design inspiration,
I printed out pictures of African tribal masks and it went from there. Many of these whistles start as an egg-shaped lump and then
take on a life of their own. Sizes: 2-3" H x 1.5-2.5" W
